The recognition comes as no surprise given Shaw’s prolific season for WSL team Manchester City.
The Jamaican accumulated a staggering 27 goal involvements, including 20 goals in the league alone.
Performances, which also earned her a PFA Women’s Player of the Year (POTY) nomination.
Shaw, who was heavily favoured for the award, missed out to Aston Villa’s Rachel Daley, who pipped her for the WSL’s Golden Boot trophy with 22 goals.
The PFA honours add to Shaw’s CONCACAF POTY and Team of the Year wins for 2022.
