National senior Reggae Girlz striker Khadijah ‘Bunny’ Shaw lifted her first trophy for English Women’s Superleague(WSL) Club Manchester City FC as they beat Chelsea 3-1 in the Women’s League Cup final on Saturday.

Shaw, who scored in City’s 4-1 demolition of rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round last week, came on as a late substitute, to help keep the pressure on a beleaguered Chelsea.

Scotland international Carline Wier netted a double, in the 49th and 69th minutes to erase Sam Kerr’s 34th-minute goal for Chelsea.

Ellen White was also on the score sheet, scoring City’s go-ahead goal in a 58th minute before being subbed for Shaw in minute 88.

It’s the fourth time the ‘Lady Cityzens’ have hoisted the title, and second in two years.

We expect Shaw to suit up next for City when they tackle Tottenham Hotspur women on March 13 in the WSL.
