Jamaica Carnival 2023 promises to be the biggest yet, as Campari, Xodus, and Yard Mas sign a three-year partnership with the hope of bringing more camaraderie among revelers during the Carnival season which culminates on Carnival Sunday, April 16.

Campari and leading Carnival bands Xodus and YardMas have made their claims known as they intend to dominate the feting festivities while serving revelers a good time.

The contracts were signed between Campari, Xodus, and Yard Mas Carnival on Tuesday, February 28 at the offices of J. Wray & Nephew Limited, 23 Dominica Drive, Kingston 5 during a media launch.

The signings will result in Soca lovers having equal opportunities to access a full Campari experience, whether they chose to jump with Xodus or Yard Mas Carnival this year. As over the years, revelers have differed in their choice of bands to jump with, primarily based on the types of costumes created and the entertainment package lined up for the road.

Pavel Smith, Marketing Manager, J. Wray & Nephew Limited, said Campari is looking forward to working with both bands to continue to enhance the energetic and breathtaking party experience Jamaicans and visitors look forward to enjoying annually.

“The pandemic has taught us one thing, that togetherness makes everything a thousand times better. During the onset of the pandemic, both the Xodus and Yard Mas Carnival had to put hands and hearts together to re-emerge with their bands and work alongside the Government for a triumphant return of carnival in Jamaica. Campari believes the time has come for us to work closely and equally with both bands in revolutionizing the annual carnival experience in Jamaica and making the event one revelers globally keep in their calendars to attend and have a one-of-a-kind experience,” Smith said.

He also stated that Campari decided to establish the Campari Carnival experience, because carnival, has been appreciated globally for not only uniting people with different backgrounds and cultures but also for promoting the satisfaction to be derived from traveling and foreign earnings for Jamaica, creating income streams at several levels.

Scott Dunn, Managing Director, Xodus Carnival and Dream Weekend, in a recent interview, said the band he leads is excited about this new partnership and the new fruits it will produce.

“Xodus is thrilled to partner with Campari for 2023 and beyond. The partnership will be a huge boost to Jamaica’s Carnival product and will improve the carnival experience for both revelers and spectators,” Dunn said.

Andrew Bellamy, Managing Director at Yard Mas Carnival shared similar sentiments,

“The Campari Brand has always been a strong supporter of Jamaican entertainment output. I applaud the vision, collaboration, and tangible investment of Campari as evidenced in this long-term partnership with Yard Mas and Xodus for Carnival in Jamaica. This is another indication of their interest and appreciation of the local, homegrown entertainment industry. We look forward to a fruitful partnership!”

The partnership between Campari, Xodus, and YardMas will see the creation and hosting of joint events across the island in the lead-up to Carnival Sunday, April 15.
