CMA to award Beres Hammond

The inaugural Caribbean Music Awards set for later this month will honour the iconic Beres Hammond with the esteemed Elite Icon Award.

Beres who is no stranger to receiving accolades began his music journey in the 1970s but reached the pinnacle of his career in the 1990s and has cemented his name as a prominent figure within Jamaica’s reggae landscape.

The renowned singer is known for his soulful melodies which keeps the candle of good music alive.

The CMA is set to unfold in Brooklyn, New York, scheduled for August 31, and will highlight aspects of Caribbean culture.

It will be hosted by Haitian/American rapper /producer Wyclef Jean.
