Top rated football manager Antonio Conte is set to remain as at Tottenham boss come next season.

According to reports Conte met with director of football Fabio Paratici in Italy on Friday and re-affirmed his commitment to the London club.

The news quells fears of the Italian’s departure from the club and further strengthens Tottenham’s charge for a title challenge next season having qualified for the European Football.

Reports that club owners ENIC airmarked £150m for Conte to spend on transferers to boost squad depth may have also been a significant factor in keeping the former Premire league winner at the club.

Conte’s departure from Inter Milan in the Serie A, was reportedly tied to the then Italian champions in ability to meet transfer demands of the outspoken manager.

The details of the timeline of his new deal has not yet been publicly stated however the most important agreement for both parties, is that the Italian will stay for the 2023/24 campaign.

The 52-year-old’s current deal ends in 2023, although the contract does contain an option to extend for a further 12 months.

 The former Chelsea manger was named Tottenham boss last November as replacement to Jose Mourinho and guided the club to an astonishing fourth-place finish in the Premier League to secure champions league football next season.
