Liquor Store Blues, a collaboration between singer Bruno Mars and Jamaican reggae artiste Damian Marley, was recently certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of more than 500,000 copies.

This is the second gold certification for Marley, who was previously certified for the 2005 album Welcome to Jamrock.

Four years ago, Make it Bun Dem, a collaboration between Marley and Skrillex was certified platinum for one million sales in the United States.

Liquor Store Blues is a reggae song with a melodious boom-box midtempo.

The song is featured on Mars’s 2010-debut album Doo Wops and Hooligans, which was released by Atlantic Records. Jamaican Dwayne ‘Supa Dups’ Chin-Quee and The Smeezingtons produced it.

Liquor Store Blues charted at number 97 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, number 74 on the Romania Top 100 and number 20 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart.
