The idea behind a Country/Dancehall track
Kapri shared that the concept for the country-themed song was an unplanned idea that he strongly felt would be a twist in dancehall. He said. it came about while driving just before connecting with friend and super-producer Seanizzle as an equally creative mind to share his then-yet-defined concept.
He added that Seanizzle sent an instrumental sometime later, which immediately resonated after hearing his “Beat Cook Up” posted to his social media.

The “Dear Mama” singer knew it had become a viral hit after his Instagram notifications exploded with messages about the track, with a significant jump in his following, especially by verified accounts.
Reception
Kapri also hinted that major personalities internationally have reached out to commend him on this “refreshing and creative sound that’s a fun and relatable.
Locally, he added that it has been an overwhelming show of support from the Dancehall industry from all areas, such as Deejays, Disc Jocks and producers commending him on his sound.
The dancehall innovator said his musical choices have never been influenced by trends, adding that he has always strived to bring a unique style with his sound.
He stressed that going outside the box has always been a natural vibe, as he predicts the expansion of country fuse in the future given the plethora of opportunities that are opening up for the sub-genre.
The versatile artiste says he aims to be an ambassador for Jamaican creativity and stamp the country’s flag with authority on the biggest platforms globally to further the brand’s respect.
Future plans
Kapri shared that an international remix and a music video for the track are in the works, along with several upcoming projects in the pipeline for this year, including an appearance at a major event in Jamaica.
