A Detroit woman has been slapped with murder charges following the discovery of her 3-year-old son in a freezer on Friday June 24.
The accused, Azuradee France faces charges for felony murder, child abuse, first-degree torture, and concealing the death of an individual.
Reports from the Detroit Police Department indicates that on Friday June 24, police officers visited France’s home for a wellness check on a child after family members feared he was in danger.
After gaining entry to the property, investigators uncovered the remains of 3-year-old Chayce in a freezer in the basement.
Subsequently, France was arrested while the remaining five children were sent to the hospital to undergo both a physical and psychiatric evaluation.
As it now stands, the accused was further remanded and is slated to return to court on Friday July 8.
