Dancehall heavy hitters Ding Dong, Chronic Law, along with “Reggae Dub” A-listers Protoje, Lila Ike and Samory I, were selected among Billborard’s Reggae/Dancehall Fresh Picks of the Month for November.

The acts have been among the most consistent musicians throughout 2023 and have earned a place on the penultimate selections for the year on the recently formed monthly column.

Ding Dong dances his way onto the November edition of Billboard’s selection with his latest foot-lifting jam titled “Rebel.

The up-tempo dance bop which is inspired by fellow dancer Rebel marks what seems to be another viral routine that has already seen fans adapt or ‘fashion’ their choreography to the single.

Chronic Law, who previously featured among last month’s picks, returns for the November issue with the single Still Dark.” The Ireland boss-produced track, featured on the popular “V6 Riddim,” has been a favourite among partygoers since its release, with the video approaching one million streams on YouTube.

Reggae songstress Lila Ike joins fellow crooner Samory I as first-timers on the list with their collaboration titled “Outside.”

The track, featured on Samory I’s album “Strength,” is a chilled Reggae groove that smoothly toasts to some good old Jamaican vibes and mellow moods of gratitude about being outside.

The inclusion of Chronic Law and Iké adds to a strong finish to the year after both have received overwhelming commendations for their work on Masicka’s critically acclaimed track “Triumph.

Reggae-dub front-runner Protoje also makes his debut entry as part of November’s fresh picks with “Jah Deliver Me” featuring Zion I Kings.

Billboard describes the track as a “delectable slice of more traditional reggae stylings.”

A solemn, introspective song, “Jah Deliver Me,offers a refreshing punch of gratitude in militancy in ‘Protoje’s trademark melodic flow, accented with witty punchlines that underscore the message while presenting a relaxed listen.

Other notable acts highlighted in the column include Reggae star Duane Stephens with Golden Nights and Ghanaian dancehall singer DSL with “I’m High.
