Reggae/Dancehall legend Miguel ‘Sizzla Kalonji’ Collins was in a heated mood this morning after he was filmed destroying and burning platinum plaques gifted to him by DJ Khaled.

Kalonji, who took to his Instagram Live, was seen chastising the ‘We The Best’ boss whilst dismantling the certifications before lighting them on fire.

The albums in question were Grateful and Son of Asahd which were released in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Both projects for which Sizzla is a contributor were partially recorded in Jamaica where the cover art for the albums was also done.

Whilst it’s not entirely sure the depth of his disgruntlement, Sizzla expressed his indignation seemingly about the absence of or noticeable credit given to him on the certifications for Grateful and Father of Asahd.

The Dancehall veteran could be heard saying, “how you fi present a plaque to Sizzla and you don’t send a proppa picture”.

In another instance, the deejay says: “you nuh the best, you the worst”.

“Mi can’t even see mi name…a the wrong plaque you send come gi me,..and a now you send plaque come gi me”.

Kolonji, who dismantled the certification before setting them ablaze, did show some empathy towards Khaled’s family by cutting out the pictures of Ashad whose images dawn the cover of the album, and putting them aside from the destroyed certification.

Sizzla who laced tracks on both projects was also a contributor to his recently released Grammy-nominated “God Did” album which has also reached platinum status.

Khaled who is currently in Dubai on a promotional run has yet to respond to the situation.

The story is still developing.
