Dozens injured in Legoland rollercoaster crash

German officials have indicated that at least thirty-eight people have been injured and two critically injured following a high-speed crash between two rollercoaster trains at the Fire Dragon Lego land theme park in Guenzburg this morning.

Reports indicate that the tragedy unfolded after one roller coaster train braked heavily and collided with another train. However, the cause for the collision has not yet been identified.

Following this, a fleet of helicopters and emergency service vehicles was deployed to the scene to render assistance. The victims were then taken to hospital for treatment however their condition remains unknown.

Last week, a 57-year-old woman was killed after falling 30-feet from a roller coaster in an amusement park in Klotten in Southwest Germany.

The cause for the accident however has not yet been disclosed as investigations are looming.
