The growing international notoriety of Reggae crooner D’Yani was underlined after being featured in Rolling Stone Africa’s feature, Heart And Soul with Rama.

The new feature, an extension of a major US entertainment publication’s interest on the continent, showcases music personalities across the world wth significant or growing impact and influence within the vastly popular Afro-sound market.

The one-on-one feature, with D’Yani, which aired on Monday, highlighted some of the Jamaican musical journey, creative process, song inspirations as he continues his rise among the next generation of reggae acts with global appeal.

Speaking about the major themes of his music, such as “Love, Seduction, Happiness”, the eloquently spoken D’Yani noted that they reflect his musical interests, experiences and how he lives, which includes the complex range of feelings and emotions. All of which helps to make up his mantra of “Live Life and Prosper” (LLAP).

The “Feelings” hitmaker also highlighted Vybz Kartel’s impact on the Dancehall culture and even him as an artiste when quizzed about the “World Boss” return.

He expressed his appreciation of African culture and his intentions to work with names Afro-acts such as, Oxlade, Tems and Wizkid.

D’Yani, who is known for his soulful range, charismatic delivery and compelling performance geared towards the ladies, has had a solid past 12 months, including a memorable Reggae Sumfest set, along with a range of commanding live acoustic performances.
