The beloved Father Ho Lung and Friends in association with Missionaries of the Poor will head back to the stage with financial support from the Sagicor Group of 2 million for their upcoming theatrical production “Ruby”.

Sagicor’s partnership with Missionaries of the Poor falls in line with their corporate and social responsibility to help others.

The production was officially launched today, September 19, and it tells the story of a young prostitute whom Ho Lung had met in the early 1970s in one of the downtown communities surrounding MOP’s homes in that end of the capital city.

It will showcase the woman’s experiences of love, death, joy, and finding God.

Additionally, the story cautions all against being judgemental about people because of their circumstances.

The production is set to take place for one weekend, September 30 to October 1 at the National Arena in St Andrew, with special performances from several schools across the island.
