Father of dancehall artiste killed

Dancehall artiste Starface is mourning the loss of her father who was killed yesterday by a man posing as a customer in his liquor wholesale, located off Maxfield Avenue.

The deceased is Rupert Edwards, businessman.

The incident reportedly occurred sometime after 3:00pm.

The artiste, Nadisha Edwards, first public acknowledgement so far is a repost to her Instagram story with a Rest In Peace caption to a photo bearing the image of ‘Happy’, as he was widely known.

Reports are that on Thursday afternoon a man posing as a customer entered the deceased man wholesale on Nelson Road and opened fire hitting him several times.

Reports are that the incident has left residents in shock because of the community person the deceased man was.

“Him help and deal with everybody right cross the 13 (Kingston 13)… As him turn to get weh the man order, dem shoot him”, a resident told shared

The St Andrew South police are probing the incident.
