The highly anticipated Grand Finale of the Jamaica 60 Festival Song Competition is set to be held tonight at the National Indoor Sports Centre.

 The selected ten songs are vying for top honor this year under the theme “Re-igniting A Nation for Greatness”, is seen as the best representations of the country’s pride and culture through music to celebrate its diamond Jubilee as Jamaica enters its 60th year of independence.

 Tonight’s staging represents a successful call to action by Jamaica as a show of pride after the near cancelation of the competition this year due what was deemed sub-par entries.

Minister of Culture and Entertainment, Olivia Grange, shared that the prize money of $3 million will be split among the producer, writer, and singer.

Tonight’s grand final will be broadcasted live on free to air television as well as streamed live on the JCDC website, YouTube channel, and the Culture Ministry’s social pages.

The start time is set for 8:30 pm
