50-year-old arrested for breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act

The Port Antonio Police report that 50-year-old Carline Miller of Shanty Town, Berrydale district in Portland was arrested on Sunday for breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act (DRMA).

Reports are that a police team went to the location and dispersed the gathering about 7:30 p.m. on the night in question. However, upon their return, after the nightly curfew hours began, they saw a party in full swing.

It has also been reported that the patrons and event workers, including the promoter ran in bushes.

An eyewitness told Sleek,

“You want see people a hide in the bush. If the policeman dem did shine the flashlight in the bush the people them get catch. People run all leave them vehicle. All the jerk man run leave the pan and the police shine light in the kitchen.”

Other patrons, some of who travelled as far as Kingston to attend the event were warned for prosecution.

Sleek has been told that the event is a ‘weekly round robin’ that is under investigation.

A court date is to be arranged for Miller in short order.
