Investigators assigned to the Frome Road Police station have indicated that a grade 9 student from the Frome Technical High School in Westmoreland was stabbed by two men outside the institution on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that shortly before 4:00 p.m., the student in question was standing in front of the school when a Toyota Axio motor vehicle pulled up.
Following this, two men alighted from the vehicle and stabbed the student in the head then made their daring escape.
Subsequently, the student was taken to hospital by a teacher where he was treated and released.
In the interim, police have issued a plea for residents to come forward with information about the suspects responsible for this heinous act.
