Dancehall star Alkaline continues to prove his respect in the international fashion world has only strengthened after Givenchy’s creative director Matt Williams released images of the Deejay in the brand’s spring/summer 22 campaign on Monday.
The released images which were posted on William’s Instagram account, show the dancehall heavyweight fully garbed in Givenchy apparel and framed under the SS 23 campaign label for the high brand.
The photos which were predominantly Black and white shots captured their trademark ‘euro lux life’ and clean-cut style.
The feature reaffirms the strengthening relationship between the Jamaican hitmaker and the fashion house after Givenchy previously used a medley of the vendetta head honcho’s songs music as part of the fashion show to debut their Spring/Summer 23 in June last year.
Speaking to the press about the influence of the designs; Williams raved about the dancehall star’s impact on the brand’s campaign, noting that he took a lot of inspiration from Alkaline’s own personal style to craft looks for that campaign.
Given that the majority of the inspiration stemmed from the Jamaican, it would, of course, influence his music being selected as the sound track for the fashion show in Paris.
