Reggae star Gyptian maintains a steady grip among international listenership as his 2010 smash “Hold You” earned its second Brit-certified platinum plaque for the equivalent of 1.2 million units sold in the UK.
The track’s updated status was officially confirmed by the British Phonographic Institute (BPI) on Friday.

The certification comes six years after crossing platinum status in the territory in 2018 and eight years after earning Gold in 2016.
“Hold You,” the lead single from Gyptian’s self-titled album, also saw a Nicki Minaj remix further its status as a Billboard chartering single, pushing it to Gold certification in the US for 500,000 registered downloads.
