Jamaica’s Jaheel Hyde crashed out of the men’s 400m hurdles, while Kemar Mowatt and Shawn Rowe also failed to progress from the semi-finals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games a short while ago.

Hyde, who was just about peaking at the right time with a personal best 48.18s, was well on his way to securing a lane in the medal battle when he went down.

Running out of lane four in semi-final three, Hyde hit the first hurdle but maintained his composure to lead on the stagger, but again clipped the eighth hurdle which sent him crashing on the track.

Earlier, Mowatt running out of the wide lane nine in the first semi-final ran a fairly good race but couldn’t keep pace with rivals  in the straight and finished fifth in 48.95s

Meanwhile, Rowe, also running from lane nine in the second semi-final, faded out of contention and finished sixth in 48.83s.
