Indian Authorities have outlined that a 30-year-old woman severed her husband’s genitals and hacked him to death with an axe after her reportedly taunted her for having a dark skin on Sunday September 25.

The accused Sangeeta Sonwani was arrested killing her husband, Anant Sonwani (40), in Amleshwar village.

Reports indicate that on the day in question the couple got into a heated argument about Sangeeta’s skin color. It is understood that during the heated argument the victim called Sangeeta ugly and repulsive repeatedly which fueled her rage.

Subsequently, Sangeeta grabbed an axe and severed Anant’s genitals before hacking him to death.

Officials also noted that after the ordeal, the accused attempted to mislead curious villagers by informing them that a robber had killed her husband; the accused however recanted the claim during a police interrogation.

As it now stands, the accused will remain in custody until her court date.
