The official drawing for this season’s UEFA champions league was confirmed and has already seen some interesting fixtures at the group stage of the competition.
Reigning champions Real Madrid, has been drawn in Group F which includes : German team RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Scottish outfit Celtic. The defending champs are expected to top the group on their way to the second round given their current form.
Fellow favorites Liverpool and Manchester City have drawn equally favorable groups for the first round.
Liverpool have drawn dutch club Ajax, Italian team Napoli, Scottish club Rangers in what is seen as a very double group group A for the many times European champs.
City will open their campaign in group G aginst: La Liga team Sevilla, Dutch team side FC Copenhagen and German outfit, Borussia Dortmund who is expected to be their biggest challenge.
The biggest talking point however orbits around Groups C and H.
Group C will Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, square off against his old club Bayern Munich, as well as Italian giant Inter Milan, and Viktoria Plzen.
Group H will see the first real test for a new Look PSG team when they line against Juventus, Benfica and Maccabi Haifa.

Group D: Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham, Sporting Lisbon, Marseille
Group B: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Club Bruges
This season’s Champions League final will take place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on 10 June 2023.
