Memphis Grizzlies star JA Morant has been slapped with a 25-game suspension by the NBA for his second gun-flashing incident.
Noted NBA insider Shams Charnia revealed the league’s decision of the lengthy suspension to baller on Friday.
According to Charnia- “Ja Morant will be required to meet certain conditions by the NBA before return to action for Grizzlies, and will be ineligible to participate in any league or team activities during his suspension.”
Although lengthy, the decision on the duration is more lenient as some predicted Morant would have received a longer time.

Two months after the forward served an eight-game suspension for a series of off-court infractions, including multiple gun-related incidents, he was again in hot water for flashing what appeared to be a handgun from a vehicle during an Instagram Live video last month.
Weeks after the second incident a statement from the Grizzlies reveal that the “weapon” in the ‘live’ was actually a prop gun and not an actual firearm. A response that was hardly accepted as meaningful or believable.
The suspension will also significantly harm his chances of winning any individual awards this season including MVP, defensive or offensive player of the season.
Morant nor the Grizzlies has yet to comment on the reported suspension.
