In the 10 second clip posted on his Twitter a short while ago, Tapia is seen reading a local newspaper at his desk.

He spins around and says, “I’m back”.

In November Tapia, who is in his first stint as US/Jamaica ambassador, travelled to the US for medical treatment.

The US Embassy had made the announcement via a statement in response to media reports of Tapia being hospitalised locally.

The embassy did not disclose the nature of Tapia’s ailment but indicated that it was “non-life-threatening”.

There is no indication if Tapia will serve another term under the current US administration when the Biden/Harris regime begins.
