Jamaica’s Rasheed Dwyer will contest the men’s 200m final after placing second in his semi-final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games a short while ago.
Dwyer, the national champion and the country’s lone representative, got up well from lane six in semi-final one to keep pace with the frontrunners.
He came off the curve in what seemed to be fourth position but closed fast for second in 20.13s to make safe his spot in the final.
Young American sensation Erriyon Knighton won in 20.02s.
The final is scheduled for tomorrow at 7:55 am.
