Jamaica’s Kemba Nelson to headline NCAATF finals on Saturday

Jamaica’s fast rising sprint talent Kemba Nelson is among the favorites contesting the finals of the NCAATF women’s 100 meters on Saturday.

Nelson who claimed the 100/200m sprint double at the PAC 12 Conference Championships in May, continued her dominance over the distances, after cruising to victory in yesterday’s semi-finals in 10.97 seconds.

The 22-year-old’s time , means that the Jamaican is in good nick to add this year’s NCAATF title to her growing list of accolades.

The University of Oregon star, will also run in the 4×100 meters, after her team posted a strong season’s best time of 42.64 seconds, to make it a double Nelson win on the day.

The Former Mount Alvernia High standout, is regarded as part of the next generation sprinters to continue the country’s sprinting excellence.

Along with former Edwin Allen High star Kevona Davis who has also dominated on the US Collegiate Circuit for Texas University.
