Jamaica’s very own speed racer, Sara Misir, advanced to the final four of the Formula Woman competition which is currently being hosted in Sweden.

Misir, who became the first Caribbean woman to qualify for the competition’s final round in January this year, beat out over 70 other competitors to speed into the final four.

The talented 24-year-old racer shared the news via her Instagram with a fun pic of her along with the other competitors captioned: “JAMAICA WE DID IT!!!! We made the top 4!!!!!”

The post also expressed her gratitude for the national support she has received throughout her journey. “Thank you to everyone for all the support. I really couldn’t have done it without all of you.”

It’s now the highest placement for any Caribbean female driver ever in the international competition’s history, thus everything she continues to achieve will be another record for the region.

A win for Sara will see the Jamaican earn a yearlong fellowship working and learning from some of the top female racers globally as well as opportunities for contracts for the former Equestrian, who only took up the sport just over six years ago.

Misir has made the Formula Woman team that will compete in the GT Cup Championships for 2022.
