Reggae Legend Jimmy Cliff remains very significantly streamed and purchased content among music lovers internationally his 1970 classic “You Can Get It If You Really Want It” after being certified silver in the UK for sales of 200,000 units.

The iconic reggae release, which remains a staple in many throwback playlists, was officially certified by the British Phonographic Institute (BPI) on Friday.

The song shot to global popularity as the main single on the soundtrack to the classic Jamaican drama “Harder They Come” directed by the legendary Perry Henzell, in which Cliff also starred as the main character “Ivan”.

It’s the second Brit-certified single in as many months for the Cliff, after picking up his first plaque in the territory with his “I Can See Clearly Now” being certified silver in October.
