The Meteorological Service of Jamaica (Met Service) has, with immediate effect, upgraded the island’s tropical storm watch status to tropical storm warning as Tropical Storm Grace nears the island.

In a tweet a short while ago, the Met Service said this means that tropical storm conditions, including possible sustained winds of 63-118 km/h are expected to affect Jamaica in 36 hours or less.
