JUTC bus drivers from the Rockfort and Spanish Town routes will resume duty following a strike that ensued from an altercation between a bus driver and a police officer on Friday, November 26.
In an interview with SLEEK JAMAICA MEDIA, JUTC Communications Manager Cecil Thoms said that the afternoon cycle will resume after reaching a reasonable consensus with members of the police high commission.
“Drivers are back on duty and normal activity for the afternoon will resume,” Thoms said.
He added that the matter at hand has the attention of the Police Commissioner and will be investigated.
Thoms also noted that going forward, meetings will be had with members of the Police High Commission along with the Senior Members of JUTC to discuss measures that will aid in curtailing the issue at hand.
