Kehlani’s “After Hours” which sample’s the “Coolie Dance Riddim” among Rolling Stone Best Songs of 2024 So Far

After Hours” by R&B star Kehlani which samples the iconic “Coolie Dance Riddim produced by Cordel “Skatta” Burrell, was listed among Rolling Stone’s “Best Songs of 2024 So Far”.

The single was among 52 curated songs by the noted publication revealed on Wednesday.

“After Hours,” which was released on May 6, is Kehlani’s first song since the release of her 2022 “Blue Water Road” LP.

The video, which premiered to much fanfare and saw Skatta make a cameo appearance, has racked up over 6 million streams on YouTube.

After-hours” is the latest release on the hit-laced 2003 Dancehall riddim by an international act, which previously saw R&B/Rap group “Nina Sky” score their Billboard debut with -“Move Yah Body.” Latin musician Pitbull also recorded his hit “Culo” song on the same beat.
