National senior Reggae Girlz striker Khadijah “Bunny” Shaw continued her prolific goal scoring form this season after netting the winner for Women’s Super League (WSL) team Manchester City Women in their 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday.

Shaw, who was named WSL player of the month for October had a hand in both goals to again demonstrate why she is seen as the best player in the league.

The Jamaican netted City’s in the 49th minute to restore City’s lead after Rikke Læntver Sevecke leveled the encounter for Everton just before the half time in minute 40 to cancel Julie Blakstad’s 32nd-minute opener.

That opener came courtesy of Shaw who selflessly lured the Everton custodian off her line whilst menacingly dribbling inside the 18-yard box before laying it off to Blakstad who slotted home for the lead.

Despite surviving a few nervous moments Cityzens were able to preserve their lead until the very end which marks a fifth consecutive victory.

Shaw also extends her reign atop the scorers’ list with her eighth goal in seven appearances this season, picking up where she left off before the brief international breaks for National duties where she also scored.

Man. City women now go to 15 points to hold firm on that fourth spot in the standings, just one behind rivals Manchester United ladies and four adrift of leader Arsenal.

They will next play Sunderland in the women’s FA Cup on Sunday, November 27.
