Western Conference championship contenders the Sacramento Kings pulled off a dramatic late surge against 2019 NBA champions the Toronto Raptors edged a nail-biting 124-123 win in the NBA on Wednesday night.

In an exciting exchange between the two teams, the Kings seemingly had that extra push to drive across the line as both traded two quarters respectively.

The Kings claimed the second and fourth quarters 36-31 and 36-29 after relinquishing the first and third 31-23 and 32-29.

Despite a game-high 39-points by Fred VanVleet for the Raptors, Kings player DeArron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk all had 20-point nights.

Fox dropped a team-high 27 points, followed by 24 and 21 points by Sobanis and Monk respectively.

The win is  Sacramento’s 15th of the season, as they move ahead of champs Golden State Warriors in the seventh spot of the West, while the Raptors remain in 10th place in the east with their 17th loss of the season.
