It was an interesting weekend in the NBA as reigning Champions Golden State Warriors and former champs, LA Lakers ended with contrasting results to go into mid-November fixtures.

Title holders Warriors were prevented from bagging a third successive win after Sacramento Kings came away 122-115 victors in their fixture on Sunday.

Golden State coming off back-to-back victories beating Sacramento last week was hunting a three-peat on Sunday.

However, the Kings, turned the tables on the Warriors at home to get their third win in-a-row.

In an intense exchange, the Kings claimed the second and third quarters 38-23 and 34-29 after conceding the first 26-39.

Periods which proved vital as both teams played to a 24-24 fourth-quarter tie, which saw the Kings come out with a seven-point advantage after the buzzer.

Steph Curry who dropped a season-high 47 points in the last game between the two was restricted to 27 points time around making it the first time he was kept below 30 points in his last 10 games.

Domantas Sabonis with a double-double night including 26 points and a staggering 22 rebounds was the most efficient player on the night as he spearheaded a stream team performance for the home win.

In Los Angeles the Lakers also had a good evening playing at home as they comfortably beat the Brooklyn Nets 116-103 to snap a seven-game losing streak.

The Lakers who have severely struggled this season played arguably their best game of the season, bagging three of four quarters to dismiss fellow strugglers Nets.

They took claimed the first second and third-26-22,29-24 and 36-26 respectively only relinquishing the third 25-31.

In the absence of Lebron James, Anthony Davis; 37 points and 18 rebounds, came up big as the lakers made themselves an imposing figure on the visiting Brooklyn team.

Despite Kevin Durrant knocking down 31 points on the evening, as the Nets who were also playing without the suspended Kyrie Irving had no impactful response.

The rare win for the Laker is their third in 13 games this season, while Brooklyn falls for the eighth time in 14 games.

The Kings go to an even six wins with six losses while Golden State slump to their eighth loss from 13 played.
