Kingston man charged for firing weapon during dispute

A 36-year-old man has been charged with firing his gun at another man during a dispute on Cecelia Street in Ocho Rios, St Ann on Thursday, September 15.

The accused, Rayon Clarke, otherwise called ‘Chin’, of Spaulding Boulevard in Kingston 20 has been charged with shooting with intent, assault at common-law and illegal possession of firearm.

Reports indicate that Clarke got into a heated dispute with the complainant. As the dispute escalated, it is alleged that the accused reportedly pulled a firearm and fired shots at the complainant.

The report further stated that Clarke chased the man home and pointed the firearm at a woman who was said to be inside before he made his escape.

Subsequently, a report was filed, and the accused was later arrested and charged in relation to the ordeal.

As it now stands, a court date is being finalized for the accused.
