Konshen shares displeasure with what Buju Banton had to say in an interview last year, where he talked about Vybz Kartel still running dancehall.
The Untold Stories singer appeared on On Stage with Winfred Williams and he asked the question,
“If we look at the growth and development of our music can you honestly say that our music has grown?”
He went on to state that after his release– Vybz Kartel was still the pinnacle of dancehall, Buju explains that while he does hear the other artistes however, lyrically he knows what is good music.
In a recent interview Konshens made sure to to address this statement;
“I was offended… one man alone a do work and nobody challenge it”, he went on to say “It was a soundbite weh everybody run with and seh yes a ah true. That show you how society addicted to highlighting the negativity weh a gwan innna the music.”
The I’m Coming singer, does back his argument with examples such as his own collaboration with international artiste Chris Brown as well as Charlie Blacks having a diamond record.
