Legend Bunny Wailer has died

Legendary Jamaican reggae singer Winston O’Riley Livingston, more commonly known as Bunny Wailer, has died at 73 years old.

Bunny Wailer died Tuesday morning after being ill for some time. It is not yet known the exact cause of his death, but it is understood that he died at the Medical Associates Hospital in St Andrew.

Wailer suffered a stroke after his wife of more than 50 years, Jean Watt, went missing in the middle of last year. Watt has not been found as yet.

Bunny Wailer, who also wrote and played percussion, was an original member of the Wailers that included other reggae legends – Robert ‘Bob’ Marley and Winston Hubert McIntosh more popularly called Peter Tosh.

The late Wailer had received the Order of Merit and been awarded three Grammy’s in his career.
