Reagge Boyz striker Leon Bailey kicked off the New Year with a bang after scoring the winner for Aston Villa who beat Leicester City 2-1 at Villa Park in Premier League action on Saturday.

The goal, which was also Bailey’s first of the season, came in minute 78, following the brilliant bit of teamwork by the hosts.

The strike was a “coach’s goal” the Jamaica international showed excellent off-the-ball movement following a delayed run inside the box to tap home a delightful cross from Ian Maatsen to restore Villa’s lead after Leicester’s Stephy Mavidid 63rd minute goal cancelled Ross Barkley’s 56th-minute opener.

Bailey’s strike proved to be the final say of the result as the scores remained unchanged at the final whistle, seeing Villa claiming a crucial three points at home as they moved up to eighth on 32 points with the battle for European places wide open.
