Dancehall’s fast-riser “Skippa” continues his lead atop YouTube trending as his track “Like Bob” featuring Najeeriii heads into its second week at number 1.

The single, which was released on September 26, quickly climbed among the top streamed songs on the platform before its ascension to the summit of the current streams in the same week.

“Like Bob” has also grabbed international attention after being among ten featured Caribbean songs on Billboard’s inaugural Dancehall/Reggae Fresh Pick, a newly established column dedicated to the best new releases from the genres.

While the single’s success shows the growing reach of new talent Skippa within the dancehall space, “Like Bob” further underscores the breakthrough year of the man himself, Najeerii, whose popularised alias “Bob” inspired the track.

“Like Bob” marks his fifth top-trending release in relatively quick succession to dominate the platform this year.

His previous drops, such as “Panton,” “Goon”, “Polkadot,” and his summer smash, “Paddle Boat,” all occupied the top spot on the music streaming platform.
