Liverpool and Arsenal were both shocked on Saturday as the drama in the 2022/23 English Premier League (EPL) title race continue to unfold on the weekend.

Liverpool’s struggles this season continue to get from bad to worst after going down 3-0 to relegation-threaten Wolverhampton Wanders in the league on Saturday.

In what was a rematch of the FA Cup third-round which saw the Wolves being ousted from that competition by title holder Liverpool, they got to bite back.

strikes from Craig Dawson, Ruben Neves, and a Joel Matip own goal compounded Liverpool’s woes this season as the victory allows the Wolves to lift themselves out of the cellar for the first time in weeks.

The Wolves now move two points clear in safety with 20 points in 15th.

The Reds who have shockingly yet to register a league win in 2023, fall to 10th in the standings with 29 points as their challenge for a top-four spot becomes more unforeseeable this season.

The real shock, however, comes from the top of the tables as league Arsenal was stunned 1-0 by 18th-place Everton at Goodison Park.

Everton midfielder James Tarkowski will be the Bain of every Arsenal supporter after his 60th-minute striker did the damage to hand the Gunners their just their second loss of the season to snap six-game.

The loss more significantly prevented Arsenal (50 points) from creating an eight-point lead over rival Manchester City (45 points) who trails by points in second place.

As the EPL enters into the second half of the season those results could have implications at both ends of the tables, as Everton fights to stave off relegation under new boss Sea Dyke, while Gunner Boss Mikel Arteta tries to recompose his team pushes for the league title.
