City’s goals came from inspirational captain Kevin De Bruyne and the ever-reliable ILKay Gundogan in minutes the 5th and 25th minutes respectively, as they fight to retain their league title.
The result sets an even more mouthwatering showdown between the two when the meet next Sunday April 10 in potentially title deciding fixture, before again facing each other in the FA Cup semi-finals.
With the two clubs, swapping league titles in the last two years the fixture has developed into a mini rivalry that not only involves points but also for bragging rights.
