Dancehall artiste ‘Mad Cobra’ has been released on a $125,000 bond, following his arrest on Tuesday for drug and gun possession stemming from a traffic stop in Florence County, South Carolina.

According to the Florence County Detention Center website; the veteran deejay whose real name is Ewart Everton Brown, was released on Wednesday afternoon after being given surety bonds of $5,000 for the charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and $120,000 for the charge relating to trafficking in cocaine (400G or more).

The 55-year-old was arrested and charged on Tuesday after being pulled over by police officers for speeding on the I-95, after which 2 kilos of cocaine and a 9mm Beretta pistol were found in his Black BMW SUV, according to a release from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Cobra, best known for his Gold-selling track “Flex” and “Press Button” is said to be facing the possibility of a $ 200,000 fine and up to 30 years behind bars.
