Dancehall star Malie Donn is toasting to freedom after breaking his silence about his detention in Barbados.

The artiste and members of his team, who were on their way back to Jamaica following his performance in Barbados, were reportedly detained by authorities pending an investigation into sexual assault allegations by a woman.

The “V6” hitmaker updated his fans on his current status via an Instagram Stories post on Monday night.

In a separate post, the deejay also commended the Barbados police for their investigation of the case before sharing a video of the view from his hotel suite, further suggestive of his release from detention.

The “Bank” deejay was among the dancehall acts who performed at the Summa Fest 2023 concert at the Kensington Oval, Barbados, on Saturday.

The show also included Masicka, Aidonia, Shane O and Tanya Stephens.
