A 38-year-old Japanese man was reportedly arrested for “phone-stalking” his wife, after calling her over 100 times daily from an anonymous number.

According to reports, the wife, 31, in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture started receiving the calls in July, in which the caller would remain silent until she hung up in frustration.

its This went on for weeks, because the calls came from an anonymous phone number, so the young woman couldn’t just block the calls.

It’s understood that the calls continued for weeks as she could not block the number because it was private.

The woman’s suspicion about her husband arose after analysing the call pattern, noting a pause whenever she was at home with him or playing games on his phone.

Eventually, the wife reported the matter and her suspicions to the police to help solve the case.

Investigators later confirmed the woman’s fears, leading to her husband’s arrest for violating Japan’s anti-stalker law.
