A Utah man was reportedly arrested under suspicion of manslaughter after allegedly shooting his friend in the chest to test his friend’s claims of being able to dodge bullets.

According to reports, 23-year-old Ashton Jonathan Mann is facing charges of second-degree felony manslaughter and a felony charge related to firearms for a bizarre incident involving firearms and marijuana use.

The arrest came days after first responders found the unresponsive body of the victim on the floor with a bullet wound to the torso. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

It’s understood that revelation of the incident was unveiled after Man told police that he had shot his friend after he bragged that he could dodge a bullet while they were hanging out smoking weed on the fateful day.

According to reports, the friends who were in possession of guns while inebriated with marijuana opted to play a game of ‘Matrix’ to test their skills. The two were said to have played the game six times, with the final being fatal after Mann fired a bullet that hit his friend in the chest

“[Mann] said the final time the gun fired striking [the victim] in the chest,” arrest documents

The 23-year-old told police that he tried giving his friend first aid until the ambulance arrived, but he remained unresponsive. Upon searching the home, investigators found two handguns, ammunition and magazines, as well as “paraphernalia consistent with marijuana use”
