Manchester United’s push to be in the Champions League next season continues to experience turbulence following their 2-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday.

In a ‘scruffy ‘affair between United and the “Hammers”, late goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus ensured that West Ham claimed maximum points.

Bowen opened scoring in the 72nd minute courtesy of a Lucas Paqueta lobbed pass into the box that was bundled past United Keeper Andre Onana.

Onana was again left in despair after his net was disturbed for the second time in four minutes after Kudus drilled his effort into the bottom corner following a defensive error to double West Ham’s lead in the 76th minute.

Despite a more menacing look from United in the final 10 minutes, the shock of the goals proved too much for recovery as they conceded the points after 90 minutes.

The result sees Man U fall completely outside European football contention to eighth on 28 points.

However, West Ham moves into sixth and into a Europa League spot on 30 points
