Dancehall heavyweight Masicka officially released his latest single, ‘Limelight.’

The track, released on Friday, has already become the 17th most trending music content on YouTube after racking up over 103,000 views in its first 9 hours.

In his trade mark witty cadence and chilled yet confident swagger, Masicka underscores his status as a giant in the business, and as such, is accustomed to the fame and other allures that a star attracts and is focused on further establishing his greatness.

That underlying theme is stamped in the opening line of the song’s hook, “Lime Light, Lime Light, been there done that just waa fi get mi mind right.”

“Limelight” is the third official release this year from the Def Jam signed artiste ahead of the highly anticipated release of his sophomore album. Demand for the project has been at fever pitch since its announcement last year.
