Dancehall star Masicka has seemingly hinted at the release of new music soon which is geared toward his upcoming album as well as the project’s potential title.

The Genahsyde top man teased fans about the drops via social media on Saturday.

“New music ? 🤔 been a lead still a lead 🐊”, he captioned a carousel post of behind-the-scenes images from his previous music video-Pieces.

Equally as significant is the possible reveal of the album’s name. Masicka appears to have subtly hinted at the title of his project-“Born leader”, which is seen among the hashtags at the end line of the caption “#1syde#bornleader#newalbum ⏰”

The Def Jam signed act whose most recent release Pieces has dominated streams locally since its release two weeks prior continues to its hold as the number 1 song on the island via YouTube.

The Infrared hitmaker looks set to have a busy March as his collaboration with Vybz Kartel-‘Shootaz’ is also set to premiere on March 3.

While features if any have to be revealed it’s suspected that ‘pieces’ featuring Jahshii will ultimately be listed as an album track, while the song’s producer and longtime collaborator Dunwell will return as a main producer for the album.

A majority of the production for Masicka’s debut album ‘438’ was done by Dunwell.
