Dancehall superstar Masicka’s international presence continues to expand after his collab with British singer Mahalia-“Different Type of Love” was named among Billboard’s “R&B/Hip-HopFresh Picks of the Week.

The single which is a pleasant mix of the sultry, smooth melody of Mahalia that is perfectly complimented by the hard-hitting lyrical wit of Masicka struck the right note among Billboard curators which placed the release among tracks from R&B/rap stars Coco Jones, Ari Lennox, and collabs from Nav and Playboi Carti.

The recognition underlines Masicka’s continued penetration among US listeners and industry insiders having previously been announced among the headlining acts for Hot 97’s highly anticipated Summer Jam.

The success of the tracks adds to Masicka’s ever-growing list of hit international features. He previously linked up with Skip Marley on the remix of his track “Close” ft. Ding Dong and rap star French Montana on the remix of his smash “Whites.”

The track also underlines their Mahalia’s growing affinity toward Jamaican music culture, having teamed up with reggae dub star Lila Iké and Dancehall artiste Bayka on well-received releases this year.
