Mavado “blessed” with Billboard entry

Dancehall icon Mavado is celebrating another entry on the Billboard charts after his collaborative effort ‘Blessed’ with Ghanaian singer KiDi earned the number seven spot on this week’s Billboard Top Thriller Global charts.

Vado, shared news of the track’s success via his Instagram on Wednesday (October 19).

“Thanks to my fans in Africa and bless up my brother @kidimusic for putting me on this power house track see you soon Africa BLESS. 🙏🏿🔥🔑”  he captioned the post which had a picture of the Triller chart.

The Billboard Top Triller Global chart shows the most popular songs on the platform, based on a collation of views of videos containing a respective song, engagement among the videos, along with the number of uploads using the songs.

Blessed is current in its second week on the chart. The track’s lyric video currently has over 1.7 million streams on YouTube.

The Gully Gad had previously enjoyed Billboard chart with his international breakout smash So Special which peaked at number 52 on the hot R&B Hip Hop chart in 2008 along with his 2007 hit ‘weh dem a do’ peaking also gaining entry to the chart in that year.
